Mod Podge craft

Just as I was about to settle in for watching Pirates of the Caribbean for the millionth time (just kidding, but it really would be my third time) on T.V. in the past week, I decided to create a blog.  What better to start it off, than my favorite craft project.  It is a great gift, or just something to decorate with.

What you need:
Piece of glass (could be a vase, a wine bottle, a box, anything you can find, or if you can't, Michaels http://www.michaels.com/ has a big selection of cheap vases, glass boxes, fishbowls, etc.)

Tissue paper

Mod podge GLOSS  (http://www.michaels.com/Mod-Podge%C2%AE-Gloss/cp0370,default,pd.html?start=1&cgid=products-generalcrafts-modpodge)

Scissors

Paint brush

Instructions:
1) Cut tissue paper (use as many or as few colors as you want) into varying sized pieces.  Cut into triangles, squares, rectangles, and other random shapes.  Don't use all of the same shape.

2) Paint a small section with the mod podge... use a thin layer

3) Place tissue paper pieces on the layer of mod podge.

4) Paint another thin layer over the tissue paper GENTLY so that the tissue paper does not rip.

5) Repeat in small portions until the whole thing is covered.

6) Let dry.
